All 6,214 handwritten register entries are now searchable
Three years and 41 volunteers later, every entry from 1847 to 1960 is online.

In 2023 we started transcribing the cemetery's handwritten registers, from Margaret Lyle's first entry in 1847 to the switch to typed cards in 1960. Last month volunteers finished the final page.
Every entry was typed twice by different volunteers and the two versions compared. Where they disagreed, a third person checked the original. The result is the searchable register on this website.
Thank you to the 41 volunteers who gave more than 2,600 hours, and to the Elderbrook Public Library for lending us their scanner.
